There are many dangers in consuming empty calories. First of all, let me give an explanation of what empty calories are. Empty calories are calories that come from refined foods, such as various types of cake or pizza that have no health value. One of the worst qualities of empty calories are that they do a terrible job of filling up our stomachs, which leaves you wanting more and more. Although refined foods may look harmless to you, they are actually very harmful. They will lead you to diseases like diabetes, obesity, and many other harmful diseases. These diseases will have a huge negative impact on your life. In order to avoid these threatening diseases it is important to eat nutrient loaded foods like vegetables and fruits. By consuming these healthy foods your body will have all the right nutrients to keep it functioning. In the beginning of this diet change you may believe that certain nutrient loaded foods are uneatable and utterly disgusting, but, I can assure you that after a couple weeks your tastebuds will start to agree with these foods. By changing your diet for the better you will be promised a healthier, longer and better life.
