Can Healthy Foods Become a Trend as Popular as Birkenstocks?

For more than a year now, Birkenstocks have been a popular sandal trend. I remember the first time I saw someone wearing a pair of Birkenstocks, I started to laugh because I thought that it looked so unattractive. In the beginning, I did not like the look of the sandals in this brand, however over time society's pressure and obsession with this trend changed my views.
One month ago, I decided to lobby my dad into buying me a pair. After a couple of days, he shared that the two reasons he was against this brand were that his grandfather used to wear a shoe that looked similar and he was not able to digest that a sandal could be so expensive ($134 USD). Eventually, he was able to also overcome these beliefs as I did.
This morning I started thinking if it was possible for people to change their views on eating raw vegetables and fruits, avoiding junk foods or even something as small as store bought juices through making it popular in society. Although this is possible, it is incredibly hard because fast food, snack and juice companies are constantly advertising what they sell to promote their products by hiding their adverse impacts. They have been successful in making their products into a trend.
I am trying to reach out to the community so that at least people within this community will think twice before picking up these unhealthy items from stores and shops.
