Last year, a personal trainer I had at my gym introduced me to an app called MyFitnessPal. Although I don’t frequently visit it these days, I found this picture on their website today. Internet is full with such diverse views on what to eat and what not to. I don’t want to get into the details as there may be many experts who will overwhelm us with many more facts. I believe that many people believe the first facts that they see on nutrition and do not take the time to study and compare the rest. That is why I I use my blog to share all of my experiences and learnings.
When I see pictures/information like this, I ask myself if these special foods are in my diet or not. I was happy to see some are, but many are still missing. The reason my diet included many of these nuts, fruits, vegetables and more is because my parents have the habit of bringing many new healthy foods so that my family can try them out together and experiment by using them in recipes, which usually fails.
My list:
I have tried : Berries, Avocados, Cauliflower, Chia seeds, Coconut, Leafy vegetables (you know), Flax seeds, Hempseed Nuts
I may not try ever: Fish, Bee Pollen. Seaweed
In fact, I have had seaweed except I found it disgusting and I would rather have double the amount of broccoli instead.
What is your list? Please share in the comments sections
